Our Wellness Instructor, Jackie

Jackie, originally from Chicago and now based in Los Angeles, began her formal dance training in Chicago before continuing her studies at the North Carolina School of the Arts and Point Park University, where she earned her BFA in Dance. She has performed and taught internationally across the U.S., Israel, Morocco, and Sri Lanka, and spent several years in New York City working in contemporary dance and physical theatre. Jackie is a certified personal trainer and is passionate about cultivating strong technique, artistry, and embodied expression in her students.

FAQs

I'm a beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. Our wellness classes are designed for real people, not performers, and we happily welcome beginners. Your instructor will offer options and modifications so you can move at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, like leggings, joggers, or a t-shirt—no special dancewear required. Bring a water bottle, and if you have your own yoga mat you are welcome to bring it; we have limited props available in the studio.

Do I need to be flexible or in shape first?

No. You come to class to build strength, mobility, and resilience—not because you already have them. Our classes focus on meeting your body where it is today and progressing gradually over time.

Can I drop in, or do I need a membership?

You are welcome to drop in for a single class or event, and may people start that way. If you plan to come regularly, our memberships and bundles offer better pricing and extra support for consistent progress.
