7 Weeks of ARTS Camps for Ages 6-15
Give your child a summer filled with music, dance, visual arts, and theatre—led by caring instructors who know how to keep kids engaged, encouraged, and off their devices. Our 7‑week Summer ARTS Camp runs June 22–August 7, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–3:00 pm. Families can enroll for the full session or choose individual weeks that fit their schedule.

Our A.R.T.S. Framework
A – Awareness
Kids learn to notice what’s happening in their bodies and emotions (energy, tension, excitement) so they can recognize feelings early instead of getting overwhelmed.
R – Representation
Through movement, music, art, and theatre, kids give their inner world a safe, creative form—turning feelings into dances, drawings, characters, and rhythms they can explore and shape.
T – Transformation
Camp activities teach kids that states can change. By adjusting breath, posture, tempo, or expression, they experience that emotions are flexible and navigable, not permanent labels.
S – Social Integration
In groups, duets, and performances, kids practice all of this with others—listening, collaborating, repairing little conflicts, and being seen and celebrated in community.
Why it matters:
The arts become a training ground for emotional literacy and nervous system regulation, not just performance skills—one of the core reasons we call this Summer ARTS Camp.
All Four Arts Disciplines Covered Daily
Why Families Love Our Summer Camp
Parents tell us they’re looking for more than just child care—they want a summer experience that helps their kids grow. At Dance Masters’ Summer ARTS Camp, the arts are our tools, but the real outcome is confident, connected kids. Campers spend their days moving, creating, collaborating, and building friendships in a supportive environment.
By the end of each week, your child will:
-
Learn new skills in music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.
-
Build confidence by sharing their work in a simple Friday performance or showcase.
-
Experience what it feels like to be fully engaged and off screens, with caring adults cheering them on.
-
Bring home artwork, memories, and a sense of accomplishment.

Weekly Themes & Friday Performances
Each week has its own creative focus—such as storytelling through movement, rhythms and song, or character and costume. Whether your child joins us for one week or the full summer, they’ll be part of a complete experience from Monday’s introduction to Friday’s sharing time.
On Fridays, families are invited to a simple end‑of‑week performance or showcase.
Kids might:
-
Perform a short dance piece or musical number.
-
Present a scene or skit they’ve developed in theatre.
-
Share their visual art in a mini gallery walk.
This “mini performance every week” structure lets returning campers build a repertoire over multiple weeks, while new campers still get a full, satisfying experience.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can we sign up for just one week?
Yes. You can enroll for the full 7-week session or for individual weeks. We do ask that families complete registration by May 31 so we can plan groups and curriculum.
-
Do campers do all four disciplines every day?
Campers experience multiple arts disciplines each day, with a mix of music, dance, visual arts, and theatre. Every week includes a balanced arts experience.
-
What information do I need to provide?
Parents or legal guardians must complete our Youth Program Liability Waiver and Release form before their child participates in any Youth Program activities. This form, available at our Youth Program Release page on the Dance Masters website, collects essential emergency contact details, important medical information (including allergies, medications, and relevant health conditions), and required consent and release acknowledgments. Providing accurate and complete information on this form helps us support your child’s safety and wellbeing while they are in our care.
-
What should my child bring each day?
A packed lunch of your choice, a water bottle, comfortable clothes they can move and perhaps get messy in, closed-toe shoes or dance shoes, and a light sweater or sweatshirt. We provide the art supplies and any costume pieces needed for performances. If your child has special dietary needs, please also provide any snacks they will need.
-
Are there performances for parents?
Yes. All weeks include a simple sharing time or performance on Friday so kids can show what they’ve been working on.
-
What is your refund or transfer policy?
We finalize our camp planning and purchase supplies in advance, so registrations become final on May 31. If your child can’t attend the week you have registered for, we’re happy to offer these alternatives:
- Transfer your child’s spot to a family member, friend, or child in need at no cost
- Apply 80% of your registration fee as a studio credit toward memberships, lessons, classes, or next summer’s camp
- Please note that cash refunds are not available
-
Is financial assistance available?
Yes. We offer a limited number of needs-based scholarships for each camp week. We believe the arts should be accessible to all children, and we’re here to help families who need financial support. A scholarship application and instructions can be found here. For answers to questions, please email founder@buildersofabetterworld.org.

Ready to Save Your Spot?
We’re keeping our group sizes small so every camper can receive personal attention. Once we reach our capacity for each week, we’ll close registration for that week.
If you’re even considering camp this summer, we encourage you to pick your weeks now so we can plan with your child in mind.
