Instructor Spotlight: Meet Tatiana, The Heart Behind Our Morning Movement

If you’ve taken a class with Tatiana, you’ve probably felt it—her rare blend of artistry, precision, and genuine care that makes every session feel like so much more than “just a class.” With over two decades of professional experience in both performance and choreography, Tatiana brings the depth of a true dance career into every warm‑up, sequence, and stretch.

Trained in classical ballet at the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy, Tatiana’s foundation is strong, exacting, and deeply rooted in technique. But what really sets her apart is the way she layers that foundation with advanced hip hop, jazz, Latin fusion, and modern dance, creating a movement style that is fluid, expressive, and accessible to a wide range of bodies and backgrounds. Her classes don’t just teach steps—they invite you into a full-bodied experience of rhythm, artistry, and self-expression.

Her performance résumé reads like a tour through the dance world. Tatiana has danced with respected companies including Santa Clarita Ballet Company, Los Angeles Ballet Company, and Word In Motion Dance Company, honing her craft on stage in both classical and contemporary works. She has also shined in commercial and live productions with OneBody Dance Company and Eastern Sky Theatre Company, where she stepped into leadership roles as Head Choreographer and Tour Director, guiding teams of dancers and shaping entire productions from the ground up.

Tatiana’s talents extend far beyond the stage. As Head Choreographer and Stunt Coordinator for the feature film “Bringing Back Christmas,” she fused dance and stunt work to create engaging, dynamic sequences for the screen. This blend of choreography and coordination demanded not only creativity, but also an eye for safety, nuance, and storytelling—skills that show up in the way she designs clear, thoughtful class progressions for her students.

What truly makes Tatiana special as an instructor, though, is how she understands people. With academic studies in child development and special education at LA Pierce College and California State University, Northridge, she is uniquely equipped to meet students as individuals. She doesn’t just teach “to the room”; she tailors her approach to different learning styles, abilities, and comfort levels, helping everyone from beginners to advanced movers feel supported and seen.

Tatiana is also certified in advanced ballet, choreography, and dance performance through the Royal Academy of Dance, bringing a high standard of professionalism and rigor to her work. Combined with her experience in movement instruction, project management, and event coordination, she is an anchor in the studio—someone who not only teaches beautiful classes, but also helps shape the broader experience of our programs and events. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of dancers through both technical training and emotional expression is evident in the way students leave her classes: more grounded, more confident, and more connected to themselves.

Now you can experience Tatiana’s expertise in our group offerings, including her Wednesday morning classes that fuse her deep technical background with her love of joyful, expressive movement. Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or returning to dance after years away, her classes are a welcoming space to rebuild strength, rediscover creativity, and reconnect with your body.
